Little Joey

I have an idea, what do you think about trying this?

This beautiful couple was so relaxed and up for anything. I love their down to earth nature, fun loving personalities, and flexibility. Their session was planned for full outside due to Covid and the month…DECEMBER. We all were hopeful for a random warm weekend to take their photos. When their session date began to draw closer Kim and I were obsessing over the weather.

“Steph, doesn’t look good for Saturday…”

“My app just changed and took the rain out of the forecast, we might be good to go!”

“Okay we will stay as planned and keep watching.”

“Steph. We need to move our session…”

“Yea, I agree…”

Thank goodness we did! The original date ended up being windy, cold, and rainy. The new date…was PERFECT! A warm December day with no rain and just a bit overcast. We spent the morning together in the front yard of their beautiful wooded lot. A home they bought together not long ago. A home they started to create before little Joey ever arrived. A home that their first “child”, Boe, protected. A home that just recently welcomed sweet little Joey during a pandemic. A home that is a safe, warm , and inviting for this growing family.

Little Joey’s newborn session and his lovely parents reminded me to slow down, enjoy the day, and remain flexible. We could all use that reminder from time to time. Kim, Joey, Little Joey, and of course Boe; thank you for such an easy going fun morning. Your love radiates and your family is simply beautiful!

~Steph
