Lynee & Luke
A stunning South Jersey farm land wedding
Eyes widened as ginormous smiles crept on each face.
Every bridesmaid. Dad. Fiancé. Guests.
When Lynee walked into the room with her gorgeous bridal gown on for first looks everyone had the same reaction. Wide eyes. Ginormous smiles. Some with tears. All with true excitement for her and this adventure.
Lynee and Luke complement one another so well. They are relatable, understanding, and ready to have a good time. They are listeners and encouragers. When I first met Luke and Lynee we talked about vehicles and family just as much as we talked about their wedding day. They are easy to talk with, which is harder and harder to find these days it seems. I had no idea that meeting Lynee would be the start to a friendship. She is one of my go to second shooters and an amazing artist. It has been such a joy watching her go from wedding photographer to BRIDE!
It was finally her day. Her wedding. Her first looks. Her timeline. Her groom.
Lynee and Luke got ready for their big day in an old farm house surrounded by rolling fields in South Jersey. The Locus Hall venue at Johnson’s Farm is truly stunning and a piece of art.
After a simple personal ceremony guests were escorted to the old barn for cocktail hour, fellowship, and corn hole. You could hear the laughter as we snuck away for a few husband & wife photos under the large tree down back.
Lynee’s girls were dressed in a soft gray and the groomsmen were all in navy suits (my favorite!). Everyone was stunning and supportive. You could feel the party begin as entrances into reception began. Each couple with their special shout out and dance moves. Lynee and Luke went right into their first dance and then with mom and dad. Dinner was served under Edison bulbs and old exposed beams.
A light breeze passed through the barn just as the dance floor was getting crowded. A special song from a special lady who is no longer with the family brought so many to the dance floor. A night of fun, love, and memories began. By the end of the evening the groom was being hoisted up in a chair by his friends, the bouquet had been tossed, and everyone had a smile on their face.
A wedding to remember.
Lynee and Luke,
Thank you for bringing me into your lives. You two are amazing. I knew when I said goodnight and congrats that it wouldn’t be a forever goodbye but see you soon. I love you small town love, your personalities, how you are able to savor the moment, and your ability to go with the flow. You have been a reminder to me to slow down my mind. How to not race off to the next 5 things in my mind before completing the first thing. I thank you for that reminder. Lynee, it was strange not asking you about your camera settings but it was an honor to capture you as a bride and not as fellow colleague for a day. All the best to you both as you continue this adventure of life together. Don’t cry over spilled milk, laugh daily, and never stop dating one another.
